         On May 27, 2011, Yi Shi, director of Yishi, accompanied with Alan Yang, director of Yishi Australia offices was invited to visit Lazard, the global leading financial advisory and asset management firm, in Melbourne Australia.
 
March 2011 Our law firm and The Association for The Promotion of International Trade, Japan held the memorial seminar of the publication of the book, The Manual for The Management of Chinese Labor, the Study of Cases
         Our law firm and The Association for The Promition of International Trade, Japan held the seminar on the management of labor together in Shanghai Mall on March 22 for the memorial of the publication of the book, The Manual for The Management of Chinese Labor, the Study of Cases. The seminar was given by Professor Baohua Dong form East China University of Political Science and Law and Senior Lawyer Weimin Mao from our Hangzhou office. The seminar focused on the labor problems due to the remove of Bestbuy from Chinese market, the strikes caused by the employees of automakers, the shortage of labors in the coastal areas and so on. They talked about how to deal with various labor disputes in the current time of the recruiment crisis with the application of the introduction and analysis of many real cases. The seminar concerned closely to the hotly-discussed problems of labor, and receieved due recognition for its practicality as well.
 
March 2011 Wuxi branch of Yishi served as the lecturer for the Japanese Commerce and Industry Club
         Wuxi branch attended as lecturer the indoctrination session held by Nanjing Japanese Commerce and Industry Club Idobashikai in Nanjing Grand Hotel on March 5, 2011. The topic of the session was Drawing lessons from losing the lawsuit-the Interpretation of the labor dispute cases. The session focused on the analysis of the real labor dispute cases and explained the reasons why enterprises lost lawsuits in practice and the lessons enterprises can learn. Upon completion, the session got credit from all participants as usual.
 
December 2010 Gang Jia, director of Yishi Beijing, is engaged as an adjunct professor by the Juris Master School of CUPL
         In December of 2010, Mr. Gang Jia, director of Yishi Beijing office, is engaged as an adjunct professor by the Juris Master School of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The others granted the adjunct professor ship together with Mr. Gang Jia by CUPL include related authorities, experts, scholars, judges, prosecutors and senior lawyers in the Chinese legal community
 
December 2010 Yishi Law Firm certified as “Shanghai Municipal Key Unit of Professional ServiceTrade ”
         In December of 2010, Yishi became one of the first 12 law firms in Shanghai to obtain the qualification of “Shanghai Municipal Key Unit of Professional Service Trade (Legal Service) ” after being certified and approved by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Shanghai Bureau of Justice. On December the 23rd, director Yi Shi was invited to attend the ceremony of certificate issuance held by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce at New Hongqiao Building .
 
November 2010 Yishi presents the CCB Sydney Opening Ceremony
         On November 30, 2010, China Construction Bank (CCB) Sydney Branch held the Opening Ceremony at Sydney’s Four Seasons Hotel. As the market leader in wholesale, retail and investment banking business, CCB is one of top four banks in China and the second largest bank in the world. As one of its Sydney branch’s strategic cooperation partners, Yishi was the only Chinese law firm presenter for this event.
 
November 2010 Yishi renewed the “Class A Qualification for Foreign Consultant”
         In November of 2010, Yishi‘s “Class A Qualification for Foreign Consultant” was renewed after the approval and examination by the Shanghai Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (SAEFI). Yishi was one of the first 3 law firms in Shanghai to obtain the “Class A Qualification for Foreign Consultant” granted by SAEFI.
 
September 2010 Holding Redlich Visits Yishi
         On September 20, 2010, Yi Shi, director of Yishi, Alan Yang, director of Yishi Australia and the leaderships of Yishi Shanghai received Mr. Lou Farinotti, the managing partner of Holding Redlcih Melbourne Office and Mr. Ian Robertson, the managing partner of its Sydney Office and had a discussion on the cooperation between the two law firms with Mr. Josh Klenbort, the representative of former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke attending.

         In September of 2010, with the approval of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice, Yishi opens its new branch in Beijing. The establishment of Beijing office complements Shanghai head office in enhancing the ability to serve our clients in Japan. September 2010 Our firm and Mr. Katsuyuki Ikemoto cooperate to hold a seminar
         In order to promote Japanese small and medium size enterprises to invest in China, the famous Japanese investment consultant Mr. Katsuyuki Ikemoto came to visit and studied the Shanghai market with his team. Given the chance, we have decided to hold a seminar about the investment in China with the cooperation from Mr. Ikemoto, so as to help Japanese enterprises have a comprehension of the Chinese market.
The seminar was mainly given by the director from Information and Quality Supervision department, Mr. Zhiling Li and Attorney Shumeng Zhang. The contents of the seminar was about many points should be paid attention to by the Japanese investors in China. It included FDI, tax, labor, and risk prevention of a company. The seminar was easily understandable and meaningful, and gained everyone’s good evaluation.
 
August 2010 Invited by Nagano Prefecture Delegation to hold a seminar regarding how to deal
with an emergency
         Invited by Nagano Prefecture Delegation from Japan External Trade Organization, our firm has held a seminar regarding how to deal with an emergency. The seminar was given by senior Attorney Zhiling Li. The seminar focused on strikes by employees which occurred in recent years, and the introduction and the correct resolution when Japanese companies encounter with emergencies through the analysis on many real cases. After the seminar, the participants all indicated that the seminar was very understandable and practical. They gave a good evaluation on the seminar in unison.
 
August 2010 Wuxi office has successfully dealt with a foreign criminal case
         Wuxi office recently received a commission for a foreign criminal case and finally achieved a good result in criminal defense. Our client was a foreign manager, who faced an allegation of statutory maximum sentence for 5 years. During the period after the compulsory measures were taken by Public Security organs against the Client till the judgment was rendered by the court, the counsel appointed by Wuxi office actively communicated with the client,to help the client to get the victim’s forgiveness and to reach an civil compensation agreement with the victim in the end. Meanwhile, the counsel was also searching valid evidence for a lesser charge, and made a convincing defense on the basis of the facts and law. Finally, the court accepted the defense opinion raised by the counsel and rendered a judgment with a sentence of six months’ fixed-term imprisonment. Now, the sentence takes effect for neither party appealed within the statutory time limit.
 
August 2010 Yishi established a co-operation with Sydney Branch of CCB
         Mr. Yi Shi, the director attorney of Yishi Law Firm, Mr. Alan Yang, director of Australian Office and Attorney Victor Zhang were invited to visit Sydney branch of the China Construction Bank and the Luncheon on Thursday 26 August 2010. The Sydney Representative Office was established two years ago and it was approved by Australian Prudential Regulation Authority as the Chinese Commercial bank in the early August of 2010. The branch leaders have attended the meeting. Both parties held discussions on the business investment by Chinese enterprises in acquisitions of new energy, mine, properties, farming and biotechnology in Australia, and exchanged their views on strengthening cooperation and communication between two countries.
 
July 2010 The discussion about the cooperation between the Commissioner of Victoria, Australia who is in China and our firm
         Attorney Mushi Li from Information and Quality Supervision Dept visited Mr. Patrick Stringer, the commissioner of State Government of Victoria Australia who is in China on July 7, 2010. Mr. Stringer welcomed and congratulated Yi Shi has become the first Chinese law firm to set up a branch office in Australia. Afterwards, the two parties had exchanged ideas on the cooperation between the two countries, and Mr. Stringer also introduced the investment The director of our Sydney Branch, Mr. Alan Yang and environment and the advantages of Australia. At last, Mr. Stringer warmly invited Chinese enterprises to invest in Australia, and expected our firm would contribute to the cooperation between the two countries.
 
June 2010 A large New Zealand farms company had a negotiation on the investment projects in Shanghai
         The Chief Executive of a large New Zealand farms company visited a well-known dairy industry listed company with Mr. Alan Yang, the Director of Australia Office, and Attorney Zhiling Li, the Director of Information and Quality Supervision Department in Shanghai on June 28, 2010. The chief officers of the company greeted them. Both sides had a friendly negotiation on the investment of the Bright Dairy & Food in Australia and New Zealand, and preliminarily changed the views in aspects of the projected farms production, investment initiatives and key financial estimates, and would engage in the further study of the relative investment information. Yishi, acting for the New Zealand farms company, will participate fully in the contract review and project negotiations, and provide legal solutions in the cross-border acquisition.
 
June 2010 The Special Representative of the Former Prime Minister of Australia to our firm, and the discussion on the cooperation
         Mr. Josh Klenbort, the Special Representative of the Former Prime Minister of Australia, Bob Hawke, visited Yi Shi Law Firm on June 11th, 2010. Mr. Yi Shi, the Director of Yi Shi, Mr. Alan Yang, the Director of Sydney Branch, and Attorney Yuechen Zhang greeted Mr. Klenbort, and gave a brief introduction to the firm in aspects of the practice areas, organization, management system, and legal and business service provided by Yishi in Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns. Afterwards, they discussed about the investment in mineral resources, energy, agriculture, farming, and real estate in Australia by Chinese enterprises, and the development of business by Australian enterprises in China. Both sides were unanimous in strengthening communication and contact, and actively promoting the exchange and cooperation in providing service to enterprises from China and Australia.
 
June 2010 A business trip of our senior lawyers to Japan
         In order to enhance the service quality, our law firm organized a business trip to Japan for the administrative staff and directors from each department at the end of May. The team was formed of 10 people, led by the Chief Director, Mr. Yuan Wang, and arrived in Tokyo on May 26. Afterwards, they visited Kyoto, Osaka and other cities, and returned Shanghai on May 31. During the 6-day trip, the team saw and experienced the Japanese culture and society, and got an idea of Japanese-style service concept and pattern, which can be learned and applied to the service in our firm. After the trip, the team indicated that they would summarize what they leaned from the trip, and would dedicate to a better service for clients.
 
December 2009 The office focused on the acceptance of the commission of “transfer pricing”
         During the end of the year, the annual corporate tax return work has been started gradually. Our professional tax lawyers have been focusing on accepting the inquiry and commission of “transfer pricing” of clients, assisting clients in organizing the “the materials in the corresponding time period”, and negotiating and communicating with the tax department. Our professional tax lawyers remind you that the end of the year is the high-incidence period of tax problems to which the corporations should attach great importance.
 
November 2009 The office attended the conference of the committee of foreign business assistance consulting
         After the competitive selection, our office was awarded the A class aptitude foreign consulting agency of Shanghai in this February, becoming one of the first three law firms of A class aptitude foreign consulting agencies in Shanghai. On November 5, the office attended the last conference of the committee of foreign consulting of the year. In the conference, the second four A class aptitude agencies were selected, and the president of the committee of foreign business investment, Wenbin Zhu was invited to give a speech on the direction of the development of Shanghai and the latest policy and guide of the commerce department.
 
October 2009 The office held the seminar of tax audit on October 29
         Our office held the special seminar regarding the tax audit in Shanghai World Trade Center on 29 of this month. About 70 corporations attended.
 
August 2009 The Legal Committee of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee visited our office and offered guidance for work
         The director, Ling Zhang, and the deputy director, Wei Ding of the Legal Committee of the National People's Congress Standing Committee of Shanghai were invited by our director, Yi Shi to the office to guide our work.
