• On July 26th, 2012, Mr. Wei Zhou, director of Legal Service Dept 7 of our firm, is appointed as the committee of the 12th Contact Working Committee of the Chinese Peasants 'and Workers' Democratic Party Shanghai Committee.

  • On May 27, 2011, Yi Shi, director of Yishi, accompanied with Alan Yang, director of Yishi Australia offices was invited to visit Lazard, the global leading financial advisory and asset management firm, in Melbourne Australia.

  • Our law firm and The Association for The Promition of International Trade, Japan held the seminar on the management of labor together in Shanghai Mall on March 22 for the memorial of the publication of the book, The Manual for The Management of Chinese Labor, the Study of Cases. The seminar was given by Professor Baohua Dong form East China University of Political Science and Law and Senior Lawyer Weimin Mao from our Hangzhou office. The seminar focused on the labor problems due to the remove of Bestbuy from Chinese market, the strikes caused by the employees of automakers, the shortage of labors in the coastal areas and so on. They talked about how to deal with various labor disputes in the current time of the recruiment crisis with the application of the introduction and analysis of many real cases. The seminar concerned closely to the hotly-discussed problems of labor, and receieved due recognition for its practicality as well.

  • Wuxi branch attended as lecturer the indoctrination session held by Nanjing Japanese Commerce and Industry Club Idobashikai in Nanjing Grand Hotel on March 5, 2011. The topic of the session was Drawing lessons from losing the lawsuit-the Interpretation of the labor dispute cases. The session focused on the analysis of the real labor dispute cases and explained the reasons why enterprises lost lawsuits in practice and the lessons enterprises can learn. Upon completion, the session got credit from all participants as usual.

  • In December of 2010, Mr. Gang Jia, director of Yishi Beijing office, is engaged as an adjunct professor by the Juris Master School of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The others granted the adjunct professor ship together with Mr. Gang Jia by CUPL include related authorities, experts, scholars, judges, prosecutors and senior lawyers in the Chinese legal community

  • In December of 2010, Yishi became one of the first 12 law firms in Shanghai to obtain the qualification of “Shanghai Municipal Key Unit of Professional Service Trade (Legal Service) ” after being certified and approved by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Shanghai Bureau of Justice. On December the 23rd, director Yi Shi was invited to attend the ceremony of certificate issuance held by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce at New Hongqiao Building .

  • On November 30, 2010, China Construction Bank (CCB) Sydney Branch held the Opening Ceremony at Sydney’s Four Seasons Hotel. As the market leader in wholesale, retail and investment banking business, CCB is one of top four banks in China and the second largest bank in the world. As one of its Sydney branch’s strategic cooperation partners, Yishi was the only Chinese law firm presenter for this event.

  • November 2010 Yishi renewed the “Class A Qualification for Foreign Consultant”
    In November of 2010, Yishi‘s “Class A Qualification for Foreign Consultant” was renewed after the approval and examination by the Shanghai Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (SAEFI). Yishi was one of the first 3 law firms in Shanghai to obtain the “Class A Qualification for Foreign Consultant” granted by SAEFI.

  • On September 20, 2010, Yi Shi, director of Yishi, Alan Yang, director of Yishi Australia and the leaderships of Yishi Shanghai received Mr. Lou Farinotti, the managing partner of Holding Redlcih Melbourne Office and Mr. Ian Robertson, the managing partner of its Sydney Office and had a discussion on the cooperation between the two law firms with Mr. Josh Klenbort, the representative of former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke attending.

  • September 2010 Yishi opens Beijing Office
    In September of 2010, with the approval of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice, Yishi opens its new branch in Beijing. The establishment of Beijing office complements Shanghai head office in enhancing the ability to serve our clients in Japan.
